Racine, WI, City Carrier Assistant Zachary Centell

City Carrier Assistant Zachary Centell was delivering mail in February in a Racine, WI, neighborhood when a customer walking a dog slipped on ice and fell.

Centell rushed to help the man, who ruptured tendons in his knee.

The Postal Service employee called 911, comforted the customer until paramedics arrived to take him to a hospital, and secured his dog at his home nearby.

The man is recovering from the incident.
