Letter Carrier Nicolas Ortiz Jr. was recently delivering mail in La Crescenta, CA, when he spotted an 80-year-customer who’d fallen behind a vehicle in a driveway, out of sight of other passersby.
Ortiz rushed to the man’s aid and called 911.
The Postal Service employee comforted the customer until paramedics arrived and took him to a hospital.
The man is recovering from the incident.
