Robert Mullins, Needham, MA


When a private vehicle crashed into the side of the Needham, MA, Post Office, Letter Carrier Robert Mullins ran to the scene while coworkers called 911. Mullins pulled the injured driver out of the vehicle and administered CPR until emergency responders arrived. The driver was taken to a hospital where he underwent surgery and later recovered. Doctors credited Mullins with saving the driver’s life. Mullins was also hospitalized briefly to treat a knee injury suffered during the rescue.
