Grand Rapids, MI, Letter Carrier Robert Scribner knew that a 78-year-old customer had fallen in the past, so when he recently heard a tapping sound coming from the man’s apartment, he was worried. Scribner called out to the man, who shouted back, asking for help. The postal employee opened the door and discovered the customer injured from a fall. Scribner called 911 and stayed with him until emergency responders arrived.
