Suncook, NH, Letter Carrier Scott Martin was delivering mail recently when he heard a beeping sound coming from a house.
No one responded when Martin knocked on the door, so he enlisted a neighbor’s help and entered the home.
Martin and the neighbor noticed the kitchen was full of smoke. A woman who lives at the house had forgotten a pot of eggs on the stove.
The woman, who is 104, was unharmed.
