El Sobrante, CA, Letter Carrier Marvin Bartlett Jr.

Letter Carrier Marvin Bartlett Jr. was recently delivering mail in an El Sobrante, CA, neighborhood when he spotted an older man collapsed on the walkway outside a house.

Bartlett rushed to aid the man, who had been a visitor at the residence and wasn’t breathing.

The Postal Service employee called 911 and performed CPR on the man until emergency responders arrived and took him to a hospital.

The man did not survive.
