Acting Transportation Operations Supervisor Sandra Jackson and Transportation Operations Supervisor Adam Sangare were recently on duty at the Cincinnati Processing and Distribution Center when a co-worker began exhibiting signs of a stroke.
Jackson and Sangare sprang into action, immediately calling 911, stationing employees to guide emergency responders to the scene, keeping onlookers away and comforting the man until paramedics got there.
“Sandra and Adam made a very stressful situation calmer, improving their colleague’s chances of a good outcome,” said Darrin Heber, the facility’s vehicle runs schedule examiner.
He later reported that the man recovered after spending several days in a hospital.
“He’s back on the job and thankful for the swift action of Sandra and Adam,” Heber said.
