What a pain!

Joseph Edwards, a city carrier assistant, was recently making deliveries in an Eden, NC, neighborhood when an older customer approached him for help.

The man, who was walking his dog, was experiencing debilitating back pain and feared he would pass out and lose his canine companion.

Edwards immediately called 911 and comforted the customer until paramedics got there.

The Postal Service employee also called the man’s wife, who soon arrived to provide assistance, too.

The customer, who was hospitalized overnight, is recovering from the incident.
