Yes way, Jose

Letter Carrier Jose Colon Sr. was recently delivering mail in a Cincinnati neighborhood when he heard someone yelling for help in a garage.

Colon entered the space and found a customer in her 80s who had fallen and broken her femur, leaving her incapacitated for some time.

The Postal Service employee immediately called 911, as well as the woman’s daughter, and remained on the scene until paramedics arrived.

The customer and her daughter later contacted the local Post Office to express their gratitude for Colon’s help.

Employees featured in “Heroes’ Corner” also receive letters of commendation through the Postmaster General Heroes’ Program. The nomination form is available on Blue.
