12 movies full of season’s greetings

Ready for a holiday binge watch? Get cozy with some popcorn, cookies and cocoa and count down the days until Christmas with these 12 television movies full of mail-related themes.

1. Write Before Christmas (2019). In this Hallmark Channel production, after a recently single woman (Torrey DeVitto) sends Christmas cards to five people who have influenced her life, she develops a romance with the son (Chad Michael Murray) of one recipient. Showtime: Dec. 6 at 10 p.m. EST.

2. The Christmas Card (2006). A U.S. soldier (John Newton) visits the town where an inspirational Christmas card was sent to him by a church group that sends mail to service members as a goodwill effort. This Hallmark Channel production offers a picturesque holiday backdrop and a cast that includes Ed Asner and Alice Evans. Available on Google Play.

3.A Muppets Christmas: Letters to Santa (2008). This NBC special follows Jim Henson’s beloved characters on a Christmas mission to personally deliver three letters to Santa Claus accidentally diverted by Gonzo. 4. Deliver by Christmas (2020). This Hallmark Movies and Mysteries production with a postal-worthy title tells the story of a bakery owner (Alvina August) who meets a widower (Eion Bailey) who moves to her town with his young son. Showtimes: Dec. 1 at 6 p.m. EST and Dec. 4 at 2 a.m. EST.

5. A Very Vintage Christmas (2019). An antique shop owner and hopeless romantic (Tia Mowry-Hardrict) finds a hidden box containing mementos, letters and postcards in this Lifetime movie. Showtime: Dec. 4 at 8 a.m. EST.

6.Holiday for Heroes (2019). In this Hallmark Movies and Mysteries production, a woman (Melissa Claire Egan) and a solder (Marc Blucas) exchange letters for a year before they meet during the holiday season. Showtime: Dec. 4 at noon EST.

7.Christmas Love Letter (2019). In this Lifetime movie, a relationship advice columnist (Ashley Newbrough) receives an unsigned love letter in a Christmas card and returns to her hometown to solve the mystery of who sent it. Showtime: Dec. 3 at 10 a.m. EST.

8.Christmas in Evergreen: Letters to Santa (2018). In this second installment of a Hallmark Channel movie series, a woman (Jill Wagner) returns to her hometown and soon finds herself a part of an effort to save the general store and answer an old letter found in a Letters to Santa mailbox. Showtime: Dec. 1 at midnight EST.

9.Christmas Mail(2010). This Hallmark Channel production full of red, green and postal blue is about a mysterious writer (Ashley Scott) who is hired by a Post Office to answer letters to Santa and soon finds herself bringing cheer and romance to a mail carrier (A.J. 10.Season’s Greetings (2016). In this UPtv film, a writer (Laura Bell Bundy) loves her job of penning Christmas greeting cards, but her new boss (Casey Manderson) has different plans. Available on Amazon Prime.

11.The Christmas Gift (2015). In this Lifetime production, a journalist (Michelle Trachtenberg) whose life was deeply affected by a Secret Santa gift delivered when she was 10 years old sets out to find out who gave it to her. Available to stream on the Lifetime app.

12.Dear Santa (2011). In this Lifetime movie directed by Jason Priestley, an affluent woman (Amy Acker) falls for a widower and soup-kitchen owner (David Haydn-Jones) after discovering a Dear Santa letter written by his 7-year-old daughter. Available on Amazon Prime, Sling and Peacock.
