Western Area leads for 10th straight week

Western dominated the area scanning scores during the week ending July 31, while a new leader moved to the top spot in the district rankings.

Western, with a 96.8 percent rating, has now ranked first for 10 consecutive weeks. Capital Metro (96.54 percent) took second, up from fourth the previous week, while Northeast (96.44 percent) finished third.

In the district standings, Hawkeye ranked first with a 97.65 percent rating, up one spot. Portland (97.52 percent) finished second, while San Diego (97.41 percent) took third, rising seven spots.

The national scanning score was 96.31 percent, down slightly from one week earlier.

Scanning allows customers to track their packages and other mail. It also helps the Postal Service improve efficiency and network management.
