Western, Northland still lead performance standings

Scanning helps USPS track mailpieces and containers throughout the postal network.

Western Area and Northland District continued to lead the scanning performance standings during the week ending Sept. 18.

With a rating of 97.4 percent, Western maintained its long winning streak among the areas. Capital Metro (96.97 percent) rose from third to second place, while Eastern (96.64 percent) ended the week in third.

Western’s Northland District, with a score of 97.89 percent, led its counterparts for the second consecutive week. Portland (97.85 percent) once again finished second, while Western New York (97.73 percent) climbed three spots to take third.

The national rating was 96.67 percent, up slightly from one week earlier.

Scanning allows customers to track their packages and other mail. It also helps the Postal Service improve efficiency and network management.

Scores and standings change continually. To see the latest results, go to the Enterprise Analytics site and use the Dashboards menu bar to select DES 2.
