Employees honored for revenue-generation efforts

Three Postmasters were honored recently for their contributions to Business Connect, a program that encourages managers to promote USPS products and services to small businesses.

The honorees:

  • Renee Jacobson (Baker, CA) was honored for her contributions during the third quarter of 2015, when revenue increased by 55 percent compared to one year earlier.
  • Michele Thostenson (Niland, CA) also was honored for her third-quarter efforts, which helped her Post Office raise revenue by 40.6 percent.
  • Elizabeth Uphoff (Toluca, IL) was recognized for helping her office raise revenue by 37.1 percent during the third quarter.

In addition to boosting the Postal Service’s bottom line, the honorees were cited for their efforts to promote Every Door Direct Mail, Priority Mail, Priority Mail International and other products and services geared toward small businesses.
