Postal Bulletin

Latest issue has tips for hot weather

The Postal Bulletin’s July 21 cover

The Postal Bulletin’s latest issue offers tips to beat the heat as the summer season enters the steamy, dog days of August.

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration has forecast “elevated chances of well above average summer temperatures” for most of the continental United States.

USPS is advising employees to stay hydrated, dress appropriately and seek shade when possible.

Employees are also advised to notify their supervisor or call 911 if they experience heat stress symptoms such as headache, nausea, dizziness, muscle cramps, fatigue and weakness.

The July 21 Postal Bulletin also includes a preview of the Songbirds in Snow stamps and the latest policy, procedure and form updates.
