The CyberSafe at USPS team reminds employees with access to confidential data that they are prime targets for hackers who want to steal organizational information.

Employees who use Postal Service-provided devices to go online should make security a top priority.

To avoid getting hacked, follow these tips:

  • Be vigilant. Use strong login passwords that are at least 15 characters and include numbers, special characters and uppercase and lowercase letters.
  • Watch out for suspicious emails. Hackers often use phishing emails to gain access to computer networks. Avoid emails from unknown senders.

Remember to report phishing emails or other cyber threats to the CyberSecurity Operations Center.
