USPS aims to foster diversity among its workforce.

The Postal Service is expanding its Executive Diversity Council, the organization’s senior advisory group on diversity and inclusion matters.

The council will now include a steering committee that will establish goals and objectives, as well as local diversity councils to evaluate and implement diversity programs.

USPS aims to further integrate diversity and inclusion into all aspects of its operation, including the recruitment, development and retention of employees.

“Diversity and inclusion is key to our corporate success because it affects every aspect of the organization,” PMG Megan J. Brennan said.

“Our investment in a strong diversity program creates a positive work environment that recognizes the contributions of all our employees, and it provides us with a strategic advantage,” she said.
