Highlights from the Postal Service’s recent Have a Ball! stamps dedication are featured in a new video.
The 35-second spot features remarks from Sales and Customer Relations Sr. VP Cliff Rucker, who dedicated the stamps at the U.S. Open Championship in Hartford, WI.
“Sports provide a foundation of enjoyment, character-building, sportsmanship and collaboration,” Rucker says.
Diane Murphy, president of the U.S. Golf Association, tells attendees that the stamps have “forever immortalized” golf as one of the nation’s favorite recreational pastimes.
The Have a Ball! stamps depict balls used in baseball, basketball, football, golf, kickball, soccer, tennis and volleyball. A special coating applied to selected areas of each stamp gives it a texture that simulates the ball it depicts.
