Talk about an early bird.

Des Moines, IA, Postmaster Adam Griswold recently became the first employee to recruit a new business customer to attend next year’s National Postal Forum (NPF).

NPF — which features educational workshops, presentations from USPS executives and networking opportunities — is the mailing industry’s largest annual conference. The 2018 meeting will be held from May 6-9 in San Antonio.

During a recent industry event, Griswold told attendees about the value of attending the forum.

“NPF provides the ultimate resource for business growth. I look forward to every opportunity to share this information with our customers,” Griswold said.

He encouraged the attendees to take advantage of NPF’s “early bird” registration discount — and one customer followed his advice.

Griswold, who is now on his way toward earning a complimentary registration to NPF, encourages all postal employees to promote the conference to new business customers.

“Our customers are our future,” he said. “When we provide education and mailing solutions to help their businesses prosper, we develop long-lasting, trustworthy business relationships.”
