The list: 13 releases available this year

A variety of stamps are available from the Postal Service to make the holidays and other special occasions memorable.

USPS offers a variety of stamps to celebrate holidays and other special occasions. Here’s a look at 13 releases available at usps.com and many Post Offices

1. Christmas Carols. These four stamps illustrate “Jingle Bells,” “Deck the Halls,” “Silent Night” and “Jolly Old Saint Nicholas.”

2. Colorful Celebrations. Featuring digitally created designs, these 10 stamps showcase the intricate Mexican art form papel picado or “pierced paper.”

3. Diwali. This stamp honors the Hindu festival that celebrates the triumph of good over evil.

4. Eid Greetings. This stamp commemorates the two most important festivals in the Islamic calendar: Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha.

5. Florentine Madonna and Child. A 15-century painting of the Virgin Mary and a haloed Christ child is depicted on this Christmas stamp.

6. Hanukkah. This stamp celebrates the Jewish holiday with an illustration of a lighted menorah in a home’s window.

7. Holiday Windows. These four stamps highlight the role windows play in various holiday observations.

8. Kwanzaa. The illustrated stamp celebrates the non-religious holiday that honors African-American family, community and culture.

9. Nativity. The birth of Jesus is featured on this Christmas stamp depicting the holy family silhouetted against a dawn sky.

10. Neon Celebrate! This stamp calls for good times and good wishes in neon and glass.

11. Patriotic Spiral. This stamp features 50 blue and red stars spiraling around a central gold star on a white background.

12. The Snowy Day. These four stamps feature illustrations from Ezra Jack Keats’ beloved children’s story.

13. Songbirds in Snow. These stamps celebrate the cold, snowy days of winter.
