Hallmark of history

Video features museum stamp

The Postal Service honors the release of the Celebrating African American History and Culture stamp in a new video.

The ceremony was recently held in Washington, DC, at the National Museum of African American History and Culture, which is shown on the stamp.

“Like the museum, this stamp symbolically gives voice to the anonymous, makes the unseen visible and ensures that people will remember our rich and diverse history,” the museum’s founding director, Lonnie G. Bunch III, says in the video.

The 2-minute spot also features remarks from DPMG Ronald Stroman and David Rubenstein, the Smithsonian Institution Board of Regents chair.
