USPS has announced some of its planned stamp releases for 2018.
The Postal Service is raising the curtain on many of its 2018 stamps.
The organization has announced some of its planned releases for next year, including stamps that will immortalize icons such as Lena Horne, John Lennon and Sally Ride.
Other releases will commemorate the song “America the Beautiful,” shine a light on bioluminescent creatures that glow in the dark, showcase the art of magic tricks, celebrate mythological fire-eating dragons and highlight tasty frozen treats.

Love Flourishes, the latest stamp in the Love series
Year of the Dog, the 11th stamp in the Celebrating Lunar New Year series
Lena Horne, the 41st stamp in the Black Heritage series
U.S. Flag, the latest stamp to depict Old Glory
Bioluminescent Life, celebrating the ability of some species to glow
Illinois Statehood, celebrating the Prairie State’s 200th anniversary
Mister Rogers, honoring Fred Rogers, host of the groundbreaking public television series “Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood”
STEM Education, celebrating the role of science, technology, engineering and mathematics education
Peace Rose, celebrating one of the most popular roses of all time
Sally Ride, honoring the nation’s first woman in space
Flag Act of 1818, marking the 200th anniversary of the law that established the basic design of the American flag
Frozen Treats, featuring frosty, colorful icy pops on a stick
O Beautiful, featuring images that correspond with “America the Beautiful”
World War I: Turning the Tide, paying tribute to American soldiers and supporters who experienced the 1914-1918 war
