A new Postal Service video offers highlights from the recent Lena Horne stamp dedication ceremony.
The 41st entry in the Black Heritage series was dedicated Jan. 30 in New York City.
“As we honor these women and men for their great talent and abilities, we must also honor them for the courage it took for them to become … people, events and cultural milestones that are unique to our great nation,” says Gail Lumet Buckley, Horne’s daughter.
The 1-minute clip also features remarks from Deputy Postmaster General Ronald Stroman, who led the ceremony.
