Scanning snapshot. The Postal Service’s national scanning rating was 97.76 percent during the week ending March 2, down from one week earlier.
Dakotas (99.01 percent) topped the districts, while Western (98.16 percent) led the areas.
Scanning allows customers to track their packages and mail. It also helps USPS improve efficiency and network management.

Ready to spring? Daylight saving time begins Sunday, March 11, at 2 a.m.
In areas where the change is observed, most people will “spring forward” and set their clocks ahead one hour March 10 at bedtime.
Clocks will turn back Sunday, Nov. 4, at 2 a.m.
