Conference to showcase opportunities

USPS will host a conference for employees interested in headquarters-related careers from Aug. 17-18 in Norman, OK.

The Postal Service will host a career conference this month to allow employees to learn about job opportunities at USPS headquarters and in the field.

The conference, the first of its kind, will be held from Saturday, Aug. 17-Sunday, Aug. 18, at the National Center for Employee Development in Norman, OK.

The two-day meeting is open to all employees and will include networking events with senior leaders from Postal Service headquarters in Washington, DC, as well as Southern Area and Western Area executives.

The conference also will feature workshops, presentations and an optional “lunch with leadership” program.

Employees can register online to sign up for workshop sessions and reserve hotel rooms. The cost to attend the conference is $35, while lodging is available for $69 per night. Employees are responsible for their own registration and travel costs.

USPS will host a second career conference to highlight headquarters and field jobs from Friday, Sept. 27-Saturday, Sept. 28, at the William F. Bolger Center in Potomac, MD. Conference registration is open online.

Conferences like these are part of the Postal Service’s broader efforts to engage, equip and empower workers, a core strategy.

The Career Conference Blue page has additional information about these conferences and others.
