According to the experts, protecting yourself from cyberattacks is as easy as ABC:
• Always avoid poor cybersecurity behaviors. For instance, sharing passwords or discussing proprietary information in public can potentially leave the Postal Service vulnerable to cyberattacks.
• Be on your guard. To help mitigate cyberthreats, proceed with caution if something online seems suspicious.
• Careful! Cybercriminals manipulate users’ emotions to con them into sharing valuable information.
More guidance on staying cybersafe can be found in the AS-805 Information Security Handbook, Section 5.
Employees should use the “Report of CyberSafe” button in their Outlook toolbar, email CyberSafe@usps.gov or call 866-877-7247 to report suspected incidents.
