CFC continues for new hires

Ndeye Marieme Ndiaye, a representative from CASA Prince George’s County in Riverdale, MD, speaks to an attendee at a CFC event at USPS headquarters in Washington, DC, last month.

The latest Combined Federal Campaign ended this week — but not for everyone.

The campaign, also known as the CFC, allows federal employees, retirees and contractors to contribute to charitable organizations during a period that begins each fall.

While the CFC officially ended Jan. 12, USPS employees hired after the deadline can make a pledge toward the 2019-2020 campaign from Feb. 1-Aug. 1.

Newly hired employees who register on the online pledge system can make a pledge within 14 days of registering.

After Aug. 1, the pledging system will close for donations to prepare for the start of the 2020-2021 charity drive.
