Western was the area leader in scanning during the week ending Aug. 14, while Dakotas finished first among the districts.

Scanning snapshot. The Postal Service’s national scanning rating was 96.77 percent during the week ending Aug. 14, a slight uptick from one week earlier.

Among the seven areas, Western led with a rating of 97.01 percent, while Capital Metro ranked seventh with a 96.48 percent score.

Among the 67 districts, Dakotas (98.43 percent) ranked first and Caribbean (88.32 percent) ranked 67th.

Scanning data allows customers to track their mail and packages, which helps USPS deliver excellent service, boost loyalty and drive revenue.

Preparedness preview. Postal Bulletin’s Aug. 13 issue features a preview of National Preparedness Month, which is held each September.
