OSHA safety form must be posted

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration requires postal facilities to display a form that lists work-related injuries.

In order to comply with federal requirements, Postal Service facility managers must complete and display a work-related injuries and illness form for calendar year 2020.

The U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requires USPS facilities to complete OSHA Form 300A, Summary of Work-Related Injuries and Illnesses, in accordance with the Employee and Labor Relations Manual, Part 821, Actions in the Event of Accident, Injury or Illness.

When filling out entries on OSHA Form 300A, managers must ensure that there are corresponding entries on OSHA Form 301, Injury and Illness Incident Report.

Before displaying and signing OSHA Form 300A, managers are also required to review the facility’s OSHA 300 Log and the OSHA 300A Summary Reports to affirm both are accurate.

The completed OSHA Form 300A must be placed in a prominent area where it can be viewed by all employees from Feb. 1-April 30 each year.
