Library offers Lexis training

You can learn how to use Lexis through three training webinars on Oct. 26 and Oct. 27.

The USPS Corporate Library will host webinars Tuesday, Oct. 26, and Wednesday, Oct. 27, on using Lexis, an online research database available via the library’s Subscription Databases page on Blue.

The sessions, which will be conducted by LexisNexis Government Solutions, are open to all employees. Here’s the schedule:

• Tuesday, Oct. 26, from 1-2 p.m. EDT: “Conducting Business and Financial Research on Lexis” will demonstrate how to use LexisNexis Dossier to generate prospecting lists of companies, customized by industry, geographic location or other criteria, as well as how to search for company information in Lexis. Register through Zoom.

• Tuesday, Oct. 26, from 3-4 p.m. EDT: “News Research on Lexis” will provide instructions on creating effective searches and alerts using a database of more than 26,000 news and business sources. Register through Zoom.

• Wednesday, Oct. 27, from 3-4 p.m. EDT: “Using Lexis for Legal and Legislative Research” will demonstrate how to use Lexis to access cases, bills and laws; run topical searches; and more. Register through Zoom.
