Employees to get USPS Connect Local kudos

Employees who have submitted successful USPS Connect Local leads will receive a certificate commemorating the achievement.

Postal Service employees will receive a special thank-you for submitting leads that turn into to sales for the new USPS Connect Local delivery option.

USPS Connect Local, which began a national rollout in February, offers small businesses affordable next-day delivery in all locations, with same-day delivery, Sunday delivery and pickup options in select locations.

The organization’s districts will give employees who have submitted successful USPS Connect Local leads a certificate commemorating the achievement and thanking them for promoting the new delivery service to business customers.

“We want to let our employees know that we appreciate their efforts to help small businesses and to grow new revenue for USPS,” said Lou DeRienzo, a small-business senior specialist at USPS headquarters in Washington, DC.

All sales generated from employee leads are included in the USPS Every Lead Counts campaign to raise revenue through sales leads from employees.

The Postal Service is encouraging as many employees as possible to submit at least one lead through any of its six lead programs by Sept. 30.

The Small Business and Lead Generation Programs Blue page has more information about the employee lead programs: Business Connect, Clerks Care, Customer Connect, Mail Handlers, Rural Reach and Submit a Lead.
