USPS nominated for licensing award

The “Vans X USPS” collection, released in late 2021, included footwear, a T-shirt, a beanie and a hooded sweatshirt.

The Postal Service has been nominated for a major award for its years of work in the licensing industry.

The organization is a finalist in the best licensed corporate brand category in the 2023 Licensing International Excellence Awards.

“It is a huge honor just to get a nomination and be told you are the top six for all brands worldwide,” said Amity Kirby, USPS licensing manager. The other finalists in the category are Arm & Hammer, Atari, Braun (Procter & Gamble), Goodyear and Kodak.

According to the awards website, the Postal Service continues to “push the envelope” when it comes to licensing products, and the results have been instrumental in building brand awareness with customers.

USPS has produced licensed apparel with Forever 21, Fred Segal, BAPE, Vans and other companies.

The Great American Mail Race board game, released exclusively through Target last year, was featured nationally in the Postal Service’s holiday advertising campaign.

USPS has also been recognized by the licensing industry for being one of the first to market and adapt to the growth of non-fungible tokens, also known as NFTs, through stamp art offerings.

The Licensing International Excellence Award winners will be announced in June.
