Cybersecurity training

Employees have test-out option this year

The new cybersecurity courses are available on HERO.

All USPS employees with an ACE ID must complete cybersecurity training in HERO by Sept. 26.

Protecting employee, customer and supplier data from digital threats is a priority for the Postal Service.

The CyberSafe Fundamentals course shows the best practices for handling sensitive and sensitive-enhanced data for the safekeeping of electronic USPS records.

While the training is mandatory, new this year is a one-time test-out option.

This allows employees one chance to answer questions showing an understanding of the subject. A score of 80 percent or higher is needed to pass.

Those who pass that test will receive credit and will not need to take the full course. Those who do not pass must take the full course and pass the final test to receive credit.

Employees can access the course now through HERO.

Employees who do not meet the Sept. 26 deadline are subject to limited ACE system access until completion.
