USPS helps small businesses advertise

Every Door Direct Mail uses demographic data to help businesses send postcards, menus, flyers and more to customers in select neighborhoods and ZIP Codes.

Small businesses offer big opportunities for the Postal Service.

The United States is home to about 30 million small businesses, according to the U.S. Small Business Administration.

USPS offers a variety of products and services to help these businesses grow — and one of the most valuable is Every Door Direct Mail.

Since its launch in 2011, Every Door Direct Mail has allowed local businesses to send direct mailings to targeted audiences.

If you’re a retailer having a sale, a restaurant opening a new location or a merchant offering discounts, Every Door Direct Mail can help you send postcards, menus, flyers and more to the customers you seek.

The Postal Service offers an online tool that allows Every Door Direct Mail customers to map ZIP Codes and neighborhoods and filter them by the age, income and household size of the residents.

Additionally, USPS introduced a website in 2019 that helps small-business customers create Every Door Direct Mail campaigns.

More than 20 billion mailpieces have been sent through Every Door Direct Mail since 2011, resulting in $3.5 billion in revenue for USPS.

The Every Door Direct Mail section of usps.com has more information, including links to the online mapping tool and the affiliate program that helps businesses create mailings.
