Carrier Technician Shanne Edmundson recently arrived at a store in Oskaloosa, IA, to make a delivery when he encountered a worker in the doorway who was facedown and unconscious after choking on food.
With the help of another store employee, Edmundson rolled the woman on her back and saw that she was blue in the face.
After calling 911, the colleague helped the Postal Service employee perform the Heimlich maneuver and CPR on the victim until emergency responders arrived and took over.
The woman is recovering from the incident.
