Carrier Technician Paul Arcaro was recently making deliveries in Asheville, NC, when he grew concerned about an older customer.
Arcaro and his colleagues make a point of checking on the woman daily, and she didn’t respond when he knocked on her front door.
The Postal Service employee soon spotted the customer inside lying on the floor, bleeding from a head wound she’d sustained when she fell overnight.
Arcaro immediately called 911 and comforted the woman until paramedics arrived.
“Paul has always shown care and concern for his customers and does a great job keeping their well-being in mind,” said local Customer Services Supervisor Tracy Shirley. “We are very proud of him and his willingness to look out for his fellow citizens.”
The customer recovered from the incident.
