That’s how to do it, Truitt

Suzanne Truitt, a rural carrier associate, was making deliveries on a February day in Brookfield, MO, when she spotted an older customer in trouble:

The woman had fallen on her porch in freezing temperatures.

Truitt rushed to the customer’s aid, safely helping her get back on her feet.

The woman declined medical attention.

A member of her family later contacted the Brookfield Post Office to express gratitude for Truitt’s assistance.

Employees featured in “Heroes’ Corner” also receive letters of commendation through the Postmaster General Heroes’ Program. The nomination form is available on Blue.
