Letter Carrier Timothy Banser was recently delivering mail in Central City, KY, when he came upon a disoriented older pedestrian wandering alone.
Banser stayed with the woman and contacted Acting Customer Services Supervisor Kristina Wilson, who rushed to the scene while calling 911.
The pair comforted the woman until emergency responders arrived and located her husband, who soon followed, grateful that she had been kept out of harm’s way.
“Timothy and Kristina really showed that they care about the people they serve and care about their community,” said local Postmaster Daniel Alvis.
